(More customer reviews)Okay, I must admit I'm prejudiced towards the Briggs and Riley line. I absolutely love the luggage this company makes. I've traveled extensively and have a rather large collection of luggage and the B&R brand is my favorite. Yes, the individual pieces can be rather pricey, but they last through the battering that an airport luggage system gives them!

I bought this particular duffel for my son. The adjustable, pull out handles on the Briggs and Riley duffels and suitcases tend to be a bit longer than most other brands. If you are tall this is a real asset. Your shoulder and arm arrives at your destination much more rested because it hasn't been scrunched down to accommodate a short extended handle!

Between my son and other family members this duffel has visited Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, most the United Kingdom, much of Europe, Costa Rica and many of the lower 48 states. There is some wear on the corner edges, but the material has held up through countless throws on to luggage belts, bumpy rides up moving luggage escalators, and even being dropped on the tarmac (saw that looking out the plane window).

The duffel is well put together and you can fit a lot of stuff into it. My biggest complaint with it is the outside pockets aren't very useful as they don't expand much. But that said, the oughness of the material is probably why the duffel is still good looking and has many many years and trips left in it!
