I think it expands as wide as it is long (24 inches).The extra zipper compartments that come in very handy.Made of of a very lightweight material that makes it easy to fold and store back into the the case it comes with.Has a padded shoulder strap and carrying handles.I was able to pack 4 days of clothing for a family of three in this bag.I wished they had the different colors in stock because I would for sure buy another one.Black was the only color available at the time of my purchase.
