(More customer reviews)I'm using this bag while traveling around Kyrgyzstan and it helps me keep a low profile while in town.The bag is suprisingly comfortable and roomy.The canvas does absorb water like a sponge but water proof spray may resolve that.I was looking for a very down to earth, casual backpack and this is exactly what I needed.

(More customer reviews)This is a very good size for everyday use, it's not a massive pack and your not going to haul a tent and three days worth of supplies in this, but it will hold a change of cloth's and some basics very easily, works well as a book bag as well and is perfect for an Ooh Spit Sack for the back of your car (I nice emergency pack.)

a great deal for the pack, Made in India and of decent construction, it does get complicated getting all the straps attached correctly while empty, i stuffed a pillow into it to fill it out and it came together nicely.

(More customer reviews)I have 3 rucksack bags that I have purchased from Andrew Christian.A very large used Italian military rucksack, the Italian regular Rucksack (5 stars) and now this item.I'll list the pros and cons and hope there is something in it that will help you decide:

Good Points:I'ts brand new, and looks just like the picture, which you can't say that with other Andrew Christian items.The canvas material is tough and the size of this pack is just right. Not overly big and not too wide.

Bad Points:The plastic clasps are a problem.If they crack or snap off you have no way of closing your pack, and they look none too sturdy.I don't think I'll use this one trekking, because the sun and weather would make quick work of the plastic.It would work OK for a school bookbag.The canvas material is not very stiff.The heighth and width are good, but the bag is a little too deep, so all of your gear/books are going to migrate to the bottom, making it bottom heavy and bulky.I loaded it up with 5 books and it was uncomfortable to wear and awkward, and the straps dug into my shoulders.The straps will be a serious problem on a long trek or with a heavy load in the pack.

Overall an average pack, but not for trekking or heavy loads.

(More customer reviews)I use this bag all the time. I live near the beach and go for hikes all the time. I use it for when I ride my bicycle, travel, and other things. It works easy. It is a smaller version so might want the bigger size if going camping. This is more for medium loads.

(More customer reviews)This is a nice bag. It is tough and feels nice on my pack. I can place a water bottle in the front area where the yellow strip is.It is made with thick material that seems like it can take a beating and keep on ticking. I can pack it pretty full with books and some other items, though I wouldn't recommend a laptop in it, since there is no padding for it.The only complaint I have is the zippers on it. They are rather big and make a noise when walking, and there is no way to make them stop making noise, unless you don't zipper the bag. I say make the zippers out of a different material, or make them a little bit smaller, and it would be a perfect bag to just throw some things in and go on a short trip or a short hike.

(More customer reviews)This is a cheap knock off of the ever dependable Bundeswehr Rucksack. The plasic hardware is very cheap-think brittle, the details are poorly executed and the canvas is very dry, as though left in the sun all summer. This ruck wont last long or suffer much wear.
