The smaller compartments are perfect for bathing suits, underwear, or other items that tend to get lost in the luggage. It was also nice to put all my dirty clothes in one compartment to keep them separate from the clean clothes. I am excited for an upcoming snowboarding trip, as the middle zipper section is the perfect size for snowboard boots. I am not a light packer and this bag was large enough for me. Now that I have this Dakine bag I cannot imagine using traditional suitcases again!
